Inspired by the classic Dubbels of Belgium, our Brother David’s Double has a dark brown body and aromas of warm cocoa, banana, and cloves. Similar to Belgian-style Strong Pales, the Tripel is often characterized by its lighter color, spicy aromatics, and complexity. Brother David’s Triple is brewed with copious amounts of pale malts as well as Belgian candi sugar, giving it a deep golden hue, medium body and rich mouth feel. The dense head gives off aromas of candied orange peel, clover honey, pears, and a hint of freshly mowed fields. The fruity esters and spicy hop flavors balance the phenolic characteristics leading to a peppery, citrusy finish.
Midnight Wheat malt gives this complex lager its dark brown color while additions of roasted Indio-Hispano® blue corn create both a lighter body and unique, toasty flavor. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey® gives us a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer. Since its introduction, Wild Turkey® has maintained a distinctive distillation and aging process that gives it a smooth taste and a lingering flavor. They also use differentiated process whereby the bourbon is distilled at a low proof to seal in its flavors. Very little water is added to the bourbon, resulting in a full-flavored authentic taste similar to what one would get straight out of the barrel. Wild Turkey is a genuine drink with a sought after “burn” that comes from its high proof, an attribute fundamental to the brand and critical in maintaining its authentic bourbon characteristics.

Our “specialty” series embodies the pioneering spirit of Anderson Valley Brewing Company through a collection of year-round and limited releases brewed on our 10-barrel pilot system. This Estate Wet Hop Ale is brewed with 100% hand-picked Chinook and Cascade hops from our own hop fields located in Boonville, CA. Within hours of the harvest, these “wet” hops are added directly to the kettle, imparting herbal, hoppy aromas that hide hints of pine and garden-fresh green vegetable. The flavor has a crisp, hop bitterness supported by a light, bready malt backbone with undertones of toasted bagel. Although the bitterness is fairly high, the lean body and clean hop flavors giving this beer a high drinkability.
