Matt Jaffe
After cutting his teeth on open mics around the Bay Area, San Francisco songwriter Matt Jaffe was discovered by Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads. Together, they produced his first album at the age of 16, after which Matt left school, formed a band and took to the road opening for Blues Traveler and Wilco among others. Since then he has produced ten records and co-written with artists like the Plain White T’s as he continues to perform around the country. His music is a combo of the driving classic rock of Tom Petty, the Americana roots of Johnny Cash and the insightful songwriting of the Magnetic Fields.
