SUMMARY:Dave’s Blues
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nDave’s Blues is the blues band of David Baas, guitarist and singer for more than four decades.  Dave embraces the blues of the first generation of electric bluesmen such as Muddy Waters, BB King, Albert King, Howlin’ Wolf, Little Walter Jacobs, both Sonny Boys and Freddy King, among others.  He has opened shows for a number of blues luminaries including Koko Taylor, Marcia Ball, Charlie Musslewhite, James Harman, Anson Funderburgh & the Rockets and Lurie Bell, as well as NRBQ and the Subdudes, among others.\n\n\nThe band consists of Anderson Valley stalwarts Steve Derwinski on baritone sax, Ryan Davis on drums and Jon Hopkins on bass.  Steve is also affectionately known as Joe Blow.  Ryan is the leader, guitarist and singer of the AV favorites Boonfire and Jon plays bass with the excellent Ukiah band The Hip Replacements.  Together with Dave they form a tight, economical band that aims to get people up off their seats and dancing to the infectious grooves.\n\n\n\n
