The Annual Boonville Beer Festival
Our own Boonville Beer Festival is an annual event, the profits of which are
donated to local nonprofit organizations. To date the festival has raised
over
$149,893
for the deserving beneficiaries. We invite breweries from
all over the west to come showcase their wares in a pleasant, relaxed, outdoor
setting.
On May 7th, 2005, the
Ninth Annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival
officially entered the history books, and once again earned the festival's
reputation as "Legendary". The weather cooperated with the festival, by ending the rain on Friday night, and not starting again until 6:00 PM, just after the festival ended. Of course, campers got a little wetter than expected. By the tally, about 3100 beer lovers attended, to sample from well over a hundred brews from fifty-two breweries.
Come the final tally,
$33,000
were donated to local non-profit organizations!

On May 8th, 2004, approximately three thousand lovers of fine brew attended the
Eighth Annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival, to sample from over a hundred-fifty brews from fifty-five breweries.
$35,000
were donated to local non-profit organizations!

The
Seventh Annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival
, on April 19th, 2003, saw 2,800 afficianados of fine adult beverages
experiencing over two-hundred brews from sixty-four breweries.
Once again, The Train Singer, Greg Schindel, with son Malachai, strolled the
grounds and entertaind listeners with traditional railroad songs, and the
Wingnut Adams Blues Band with Jeramy Norris kept them rocking and rolling on
the dance floor. We even had a public marriage proposal (and accompanying
acceptance) on stage.
When all the beans were counted, a
record breaking grand total of $25,000
was donated to local cherities!

The
Sixth Annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival
offered fifty-five breweries, over one hundred fifty beers, an estimated
twenty-six hundred beer lovers, four bands, one gorgeous day, and one low entry
fee. The festival raised $21,341.08, which was distributed between The
Mendocino County Fairgrounds, Mendocino Animal Rescue, and the Anderson Valley
Volunteer Fire Department.

The
5th Annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival
broke all our previous records and raised $14,552.18 for the Mendocino County
Fairgrounds (a vital community asset that the Valley is in danger of losing,
due to lack of funds).
The
4th Annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival
was held May 6th, 2000. The first beer
fest held at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds brought in approximately
800 beer fans. The attendance was down due to a light drizzle, which
dampened the grounds, but not the spirits. Approximately $7000 was raised for
the Anderson Valley Lion's Club.
The
3rd Annual Boonville Beer Festival
, in 1999, offered over thirty breweries, and made over $8000 for the
Anderson Valley
Volunteer Fire Fighter's Association.
The
2nd Annual Boonville Beer Festival
, in 1998, boasted 25 breweries, and earned over $6000 for the A.V.V.F.F.A.,
and the Anderson Valley Ambulance
Service.
The
First Annual Boonville Beer Festival
, in 1997, was actually the grand opening of our (then) brand new
brewery. We hadn't yet thought of inviting other breweries, poured all our own
beer, and charged no admission. It was a blow-out, full-on, day-long
party. We and everyone who attended had such a good time, that the next
year we decided to invite other breweries, and make a bit of money for
deserving local organizations.

might see yourself on the web, enjoying some of the world's finest beers, and
doing a good deed.
