Sales Team Opening:

East Bay / South Bay – Area Sales Manager

Anderson Valley Brewing Co. of Boonville (Mendocino County) CA, a pioneer of the American craft brewing industry since 1987, is adding a sales position in the East Bay/South Bay.

The area sales manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Anderson Valley Brewing portfolio within the assigned territory. Key responsibilities will include managing the Anderson Valley distributors in the territory, including sales goal achievement, pricing, distribution targets, promotions, trade execution and chain activity. Responsibilities will also include building key relationships within all classes of the retail trade.

Qualifications necessary:

At least three (3) years sales experience with a brewery or beer importer, or three (3) years sales and management experience with a beer distributor

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Windows operating systems; knowledge of VIP reporting software a plus

Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Skilled at public speaking and comfortable addressing large groups

We are seeking a candidate that is highly motivated, a self-starter, well organized, energetic, and passionate about craft beer. Candidate must also be able to lift cases and draft containers and have a valid driver’s license with an exemplary driving record.

A flexible schedule is a must, as this position will include evening and weekend sampling events, promotions and festivals. Candidates must also be comfortable with travel and overnights.

Position Title: Barrel Technician

Job Description:
Careful handling of barrels, forklift operation, filling & evacuating barrel aged beer, barrel sampling, and sensory QA/QC.
Reports To: Director of Production, Director of Brewery Operations

Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods of time
Safely handling hot water, pumps, and brewing equipment
Safely handling chemicals and properly using safety equipment (PPE).
Crouching, ducking, and climbing stairs several times per day.
Lifting/carrying brewer’s hose (50+ lbs).

Qualifications:
Experience in a brewery or production environment.
Familiarity with large-scale brewing techniques & safety practices.
Experience or certification with Forklifts is a plus.
Formal education or training in brewing science is a plus.

Operate a custom 100bbl brewhouse. Early mornings, late nights, and/or weekend shifts.
Reports To: Lead Brewer, Director of Brewery Operations

Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods of time
Safely handling hot water, pumps, and brewing equipment
Safely handling chemicals and properly using safety equipment (PPE).
Crouching, ducking, and climbing stairs several times per day.
Lifting 55lbs above head height repeatedly.

Qualifications:
Experience in a brewery or production environment.
Familiarity with large-scale brewing techniques & safety practices.
Brewing School or some other formal brewing education is a plus.
Formal education or training in brewing science is a plus.

Position Title: Packaging Manager

Anderson Valley Brewing Co is looking for an experienced packaging manager. Applicants MUST have both managerial and packaging experience. The position is full time salaried, with benefits.

AVBC was established in 1987, it is located in beautiful rural Northern California within the town of Boonville (pop. 1280). As of 2015, the brewery’s volume is approximately 55,000 barrels in bottles, kegs and cans. The brewery has steady 1- – 15 % growth each year. The brewery sits on 28 acres among vineyards and ranchland, and has its own water and waste water facilities. It is a leader in California in environmentally responsible production.
